Biocellulose

Bio-cellulose is pure polysaccharide obtained from fermentation.

Its characteristics are different from plant cellulose with respect to its high crystallinity, high water absorption capacity, high mechanical strength in the wet state, and 3-D nano structure (Ref. Prog. Polym Sci. 26 (2001) 1561-1603).

As shown in Fig. 1, due its nanoscale fibre structure that is approximately 100 times thinner than plant cellulose, it is able to hold onto greater quantity of aqueous cosmetic ingredients, which allows the users to anticipate greater effects.

Furthermore, its adhesive characteristic and soft texture allow bio-cellulose face masks to stick to the user's face comfortably. Compared to other hydrogel or non-woven sheet masks, bio-cellulose is absolutely superior in every aspect, from performance as a cosmetic product to eco-friendliness.
